Otisburg Not Dead!

Just an FYI here.

We have NOT fallen off the face of the earth. We have not broken up. We aren't even technically on any sort of hiatus.

Last month, our drummer decided that he could not continue with us. So the search began for a new drummer. To make matters worse, our guitar player decided that he was moving out of the country.

So now we are currently in search of both a drummer and a guitar player. We have some auditions coming up in the next couple of weeks but when we get a full lineup back up and running you can be sure that we will let everyone know.

It's been a little over a month now that Otisburg (in its current incarnation) has been together so I thought I'd post a little update here. 

Things have been coming along pretty quickly for Otisburg ever since it was re-launched in Oklahoma City.

There are already some shows booked and the band has been diligently working to learn the songs.

Steve has taught the band 12 of the songs now. They are also working on writing some new tunes as well.

As mentioned recently, there is an "official" website posted at www.otisburg.us.

New Website Up and Running

We have now launched the new and improved (and extremely short and sweet) Otisburg website.

The information on it is....well, there really isn't any information on it. It just has a big logo in the middle of it and contains links to our social media sites.

Otisburg was added as a last-minute addition for a show on February 22 in VZDs. We will be playing at the end of the night after all of the other bands have finished playing. The show starts at 9pm and tickets are only 7 bucks!!!

Had the first band practice with the new lineup last night. It went incredibly well. We practiced the following songs:

• Hey Jennifer
• Goodbye California
• Punkrocksong.com
• Ubergeek

Happy New Year from Otisburg!

First update of the New Year! And we promise that it won't be the last.

So we ended 2013 off with a blast getting the Ubergeek EP released in December. It even made a top EPs of 2013 list (Oklahoma Lefty's Top 15 EPs of 2013).

2014 will prove to be an interested year for Otisburg. Steve has put together a lineup down in Oklahoma City so they can get out and start playing again. Scott will remain on board as a writing partner. The new lineup will be a 4-piece consisting of Steve on vocals, Scott Shannon on guitar, Danny Bull on bass and Dan Gerwin on drums.
